Helping Hands Service
Cost: Free if you qualify
Who May Participate: Residential single-family waste management customers who are physically/medically unable to take residential waste and recycle containers to the curb for collection.
The City of Tallahassee Utilities will provide you the same service level as a Helping Hands participant as if you had signed up for Premium Service. There would be no additional cost to you if you qualify. The City of Tallahassee Utilities is committed to residents with special needs. Eligibility is based on an application, which includes certification by
the customer and a physician. Periodic re-certification is required.Your garbage and recycling containers must be accessible (not inside a fence, garage or carport), and visible from the street by 6:30 a.m. on the collection day.
Please Note: Falsification of information will be grounds for termination of the Helping Hands Service and you may be required to repay for the services provided.
