Fitness Classes
Fitness classes are being offered in person (see schedule) and virtually via WCOT TV (Cable Channel 13 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 9 am), as well as on-demand recorded classes. If you have questions email ruth.nickens@talgov.com.
Lifelong Learning Classes
Lifelong Learning Classes are being offered in-person and via Zoom, registration and listings are available here. A variety of interesting classes are offered throughout the year for adults who enjoy the fun and excitement of learning new things. We offer classes in diverse areas such as history, science, nature, music, current events and places of interest in the Big Bend region. Art Programs
Art classes and workshops are being offered in-person and via Zoom. Listings and registration for art classes are available here. On-going classes and workshops featuring watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing, pastels are offered on a weekly basis. Instructors work with individuals with varied skill levels in a rewarding, collaborative environment. For questions or more information, email heathhilary.mcrae@talgov.com.
UPSLIDE
UPSLIDE(Utilizing and Promoting Social Engagement for Loneliness, Isolation and Depression in the Elderly) Program - Help is available if you, or a friend, are feeling lonely or isolated? UPSLIDE serves people age 50 and older. UPSLIDE offers individual counseling, Friends Connection groups, phone buddies and more!

Grandparents as Parents (GaP)
Grandparents as Parents program is for grandparents who are the primary caregivers for their grandchildren and offers support groups, informational luncheons, access to community agencies, legal services and health screenings plus social activities for the whole grand-family. GaP is meeting virtually and in-person. GaP is a program of the Tallahassee Senior Foundation funded by the Leon County Commission, grants and donations.
Southside Senior Services & Outreach
Monthly Wellness Circles: Casual settings with healthy refreshments for various health related discussions, demonstrations, guest speakers and health screenings. Enjoy seeing your neighbors and making new friends!
11 am-noon. Light refreshments and incentives are provided at each meeting. There is a $3 suggested donation for each event. Space is limited, registration is required.
